So I’m back from my little vacation and in time to have you fill up your diaries with ‘Things to Do” this weekend. This one is special as it’s officially the last weekend of 2017, where did time go!

I would also like to take the time to THANK YOU for following The Weekly Diary for as long as you have and hope you do continue to support this platform as we grow and expand in 2018 😊

Winter Carnival

Celebrating the winter season and bringing your families together at Abu Dhabi’s Winter Carnival this year. The second edition of the Carnival, which is part of Yas Island’s Winter Festival, brings five free days of the winter spectacle and activities for the whole family to enjoy.

This carnival will be running until the last day of the year, 31st December 2017 so make sure you head down this weekend.

 

DJ Lost Frequencies ( NYE )

Alchemy Project presents Europe’s hottest DJ Lost Frequencies live n Dubai’s newest rooftop venue – The Penthouse, Five Palm Jumeirah. Ring in the new year and enjoy the amazing vies of Dubai’s biggest firework displays on New Year’s Eve.

 

DSF

I’m sure it’s no news that DSF is back and began on the 26th of this month and will be running for a whole month until 27 January 2018.  It’s been shop, shop, shop during the last few days, from the 12-hour sales to flash sales and more.

Don’t forget to make the most out of the amazing deals during the Dubai Shopping Festival over the weekend, especially tomorrow (heard there will be a flash sale in selected sales).

 

Movies

There are a lot of movies to catch over the weekend – with recent and new releases such as Jumanji, The Greatest showman, Pitch Perfect 3, Hostiles & More.

 

Burj Khalifa – Light Up 2018 (NYE)

To replace the anticipated fireworks, Burj Khalifa will be displaying a special light show to welcome the New Year 2018. The show will be also an attempt to be an official Guinness World Record Title.

To watch firework displays, you can visit Burj Al Arab, The Palm, Festival City, JBR and Global Village.

 

Abu Dhabi – New Year Countdown Village

For the people who want to ring in the New Year in Abu Dhabi and are not going to the Katy Perry concert, the New Year countdown village will be making its debut this year. Enjoy Live music, food and more with your friends and family when you visit the countdown village.
