Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets or also known as just Valerian is a new sci-fi action movie, taken from the French comic series ‘Valerian and Laureline.’

The Lu Bensson-directed movie tells a story of two government agents, Valerian and Laureline; who travel through space to fight crimes and work on assignments together from the minister of defense to maintain order across the universe.

Their journey across space takes them to a new mission to Aplace Space, the expanding metropolis; where diverse species work and live together to share knowledge and maintain the peace, which is overshadowed by a dark force the threatens the city.

Earlier this week, i had the pleasure of attending a special screening at Novo cinemas, where the director Luc Besson was present himself and introduce us to the concept, story and the movie.

Personally, I LOVED the movie! Not dragging, straightforward story and the visuals were just breath-taking ( i would highly recommend watching in 3D/IMAX).

Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevingne delivered such an outstanding performance throughout and couldn’t picture anyone else taking on the role.

Without giving away too much, it’s the perfect movie for you to go and watch coz it’s officially in cinemas.
