British London 2012 100m teenage prodigy, Adam Gemili, 19, has etched an innovative feat into the sprinting record books that will not be eclipsed.

Gemili decidedly and confidently tested his humanly organic blood, sweat, and tears of endless rigorous training to dual in a time trial with a robotic automaton mascot – Brian – representing insurance company Confused, inside the comforting home advantage of the former Chelsea FC youth team standout training complex of Lee Valley Center in London.

The gifted Londoner advanced rapidly out of the starting blocks after the gunfire with supreme belief, only until athletic android placed firm pole position to shortlive the confidence and lead of Gemili; who narrowly edged out the talented Brit standout by 0.1, logging a 10.1 second timing.

Moreover, the world junior champion – and Olympic semi-finalist – recently shattered his lifetime best record with a 20.30 second 200m superb performance at the England Under 20 and Under 23 championships in Bedford; which surpassed Christian Malcolm’s fifteen year benchmark in the event. In addition, the record showing in Bedford was the greatest delivery in the 200m by a Briton in five years.

‘A lot of sprinters have told me to have patience — Tyson Gay, Usain Bolt, they told me patience is key. With all the training I’ve had I can see myself running quicker than my 10.05  personal best this summer. Under 10 seconds is the aim. I talk about patience so I’m not rushing myself’ commented Adam Gemili.

IAAF Sainsbury’s Olympic Anniversary games hover on the sporting spectrum, proceeding on July 26. Great Britain’s own Olypian, Adam Gemili, actively aims to achieve another monumental feat in his career at the forthcoming celebratory one year athletics event.
