The legacy of London 2012 is celebrated inside the world-renowned Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Stadium in Stratford, London on July 26 at the IAAF Diamond League AVIVA athletics Grand Prix on July 26; tickets for the world class, highly-hyped three day meeting track and field spectacle officially sold out in seventy five minutes.

Patriotism and buzz reached unparalleled measures in the city during London 2012 by virtue of Bradley Wiggins, Jessica Ennis, Mo Farrah and Chris Hoy, who all claimed the headlines – and devoured hearts – of the proud nation by capturing multiple gold medals for Great Britain in the Brits finest showing in Olympic annals

‘I’m looking forward to coming back to the UK, especially with it being a year since winning three gold medals in the Olympic Stadium. The crowd were amazing at the Games, and I hope they will be out again in their numbers at the end of July. I haven’t competed at the London Diamond League since 2009, but it has always been a great meet with lots of Jamaican support – it almost feels like running at home.’ said 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay sprint superstar, Usain Bolt, 26.

Meanwhile, Sainsbury’s Olympic Anniversary will air live on BBC One as the magical euphoric experience returns to London.
