Game five of the NBA playoffs emanates live tonight from the TD Garden in Boston, MA, as the Celtics (41-40) host the New York Knicks (54-28) in a fast and furious first round Eastern Conference epic; where New York Knicks hold a commanding 3-1 advantage.

Boston Celtics came away victorious in game four with inspiring input from center Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce; along with Jason Terry’s key spot-up baskets from distance that Celtics coach, Doc Rivers, had dreamed for since the Celtics acquired the combo guard last summer.

“Without a doubt…We have to bring it. It’s the only way we have a chance to win the game. We just have to play all out,” forward Jeff Green commented.

Carmelo Anthony averages 33.0ppg in the series against Boston Celtics, who has been nothing short breathtaking for the entitled-minset New York Knicks die-hards hoping for an NBA championship for the first time in over 40 years. In addition, Carmelo (Anthony) is unquestionably playing the finest basketball of his career at this moment in time.

Playoffs Statistics – Celtics-Knicks

PG A. Bradley 6.5 R.Felton 17.8
SG P. Pierce 21.3 P. Prigioni 4.3
SF J. Green 20.8 I. Shumpert 6.3
PF B. Bass 4.3 C. Anthony 33.0
C K. Garnett 11.3 T. Chandler 3.5

Paul Pierce is posting post-season statistics of 21.3ppg and 6.0apg in the best of seven series in an all around effort; perennially drawing contact to make simpler points from the charity stripe, closing out games in the clutch.

Jeff Green, who averages 20.8ppg, has been a beacon of prosperity for the Celtics in returning the grasp of potentially gaining solid ground in levelling the series before its far too late.

Defensively speaking, Tyson Chandler, Pablo Prigioni, Kenyon Martin, and Jason Kidd have been stellar standouts with their contributions. Former defensive player of the year, Tyson Chandler, has an overall affinity for acquiring fouls rapidly, as his anticipation as a shot blocker can be overzealous and aggressive at worst; whilst still altering shots with his presence regardless.

Boston Celtics are blessed with home court advantage, yet cannot become relaxed whatsoever. Like Kermit the Frog once said, ‘It’s not that easy being green’.
