NBA: Brooklyn Nets vs. Chicago Bulls – Playoffs (Game 4) – April 27

Chicago Bulls have asserted a touch-and-go edge with a 2-1 advantage in the ever-taxing best of seven NBA Eastern Conference first round series. Former NBA MVP Derrick Rose, whose absenteeism from the Bulls line-up in part due to injury, has seen seen Chicago step up effectively yet unspectacularly without their inspirational floor general in this scrappy blacktop-like battle.

Power forward Carlos Boozer is averaging a rock-solid 20.0ppg and 12.0rpg in the series against the Brooklyn Nets with his uber-aggressive trench work approached and polished refinery in his arsenal; whilst Nets’ Brook Lopez has been equally as active, registering statistics of 21.3ppg, 6.3rpg and 4.3bpg, due to his ability of streching the floor for a center, sinking feathery jump shots with great ease.

Joe Johnson and Deron Williams united as a backcourt tandem cannot maintain their love-affair with low-percentage jump shots. Williams is adept at making crucial shots as much as he is at assisting them. There is little reason to be gun-shy in the second city that Al Capaone called home.

Can the Brooklyn Nets remotely comtemplate the series at two apiece in this make-or-break match up at the United Center in Chicago, IL? Chicagoan sports fans – like New Yorkers and Bostonians – wear their stoic emotions passionately on their sleeve. They will root by any means necessary – whether leading by twenty or trailing by twenty. We are in for a contest that needs to be settled.

Projected Lineups for Game 3:

Nets: Deron Williams (PG), Joe Johnson (SG), Gerald Wallace (SF), Reggie Evans (PF), Brook Lopez (C)

Bulls: Kirk Hinrich (PG), Jimmy Butler (SG), Luol Deng (SF), Carlos Boozer (PF), Joakim Noah (C)
