The remaining top eight seeded superstars relentlessly rally back-and-forth for triumph, respect and reputation on the clay-courted coup de grace in Monaco on April 15.

Rafa Nadal, 26, has stamped his signature effortless, panther-like dominance in the ATP Monte Carlo tournament in recent years, claiming an unparalelled eight ATP titles in succession (2005-2012), and the Catalonian is in hot pursuit of a ninth crown; the Spaniard upstaged Novak Djokovic (Serbia) 6-3, 6-1 in the final in 2012.

“I’m positive…but not arrogant” noted Nadal, who is currently ranked number five in the world.

Nadal’s radiant racket-smashing record in the ATS Monte Carlo Masters amplifies large volumes: 44 victories, with just one loss in his relative cruise control in France’s most desirable sporting destination.

As the second round draws to fruition, Spanish star standout, David Ferrer, 31, – who favors the Monte Carlo surface ala compatriot Rafa Nadal – is notably absent; Ferrer suffered a heartbreaking loss after being upended by Brazilian, Thomaz Bellucci in ATP Monte Carlo Masters one year ago in a shell-shocking encounter.

Similarly, Feliciano L√≥pez unconventionally fell short to now currently in-form Stanislas Warwinka at last years annual; in what was initially deemed cakewalk for the billed favorite of the heated contest. The third of nine events in the ATP Masters 1000 series will be underway in Monaco…with sure-to-be ace outcomes written in the stars.
