Introducing emerging vocalist, rapper, and musician J The Exodus with his tenor – baritone vocals, explosive lyrical content and powerful performance energy. Born and raised in South East London (to Jamaican and British parents), J The Exodus has gradually but surely been making his mark on the UK urban music landscape over the last 18 months.

He began writing, performing and realising his musical capabilities from as early as 5 years old, with his early influences coming from his mother’s eclectic record collection which varied from Soul, Reggae and Funk to Jazz, Hip-Hop and Pop music – eclecticism that is now very much evident in J The Ex’s music today as he continues to draw influences from the likes of Nas, Bob Marley and Nina Simone to mention a few. While in Secondary school, J The Ex formed the notably successful group Extreme Impact who went on to win the London School’s Arts Showcase two years in a row before being selected by the BBC to perform at the Queen’s Golden Jubilee at Hype Park in 2002. Extreme Impact were also runners up to Singer/Songwriter Starboy Nathan at Choice FM’s Rapology in 2003.

After enjoying mild success with Extreme Impact, J The Ex was accepted into the BRIT school of Performing Arts and soon after, went on to create the explosive Hip-Hop trio Midas Touch with Phoenix Da Icefire and label mate AKS. With Midas Touch, J The Ex had the pleasure of performing alongside the likes of Chipmunk, Ghetts, Wretch 32 and Bashy before finally receiving the impetus to step out into the limelight and come of age as a solo artist.

In 2010, J the Ex released his solo debut mixtape 360 Full Circle to critical acclaim, receiving rave reviews from the likes of Soul Culture and We Plug Good Music for his excellent introductory body of work. Fast-forward a couple years and his debut EP From Darkness Came Light is due to be released via Less Is More Music in September, 2012 with features from Mikel Ameen and Phoenix Da Icefire and production from Nutty P (Stinkahbell) and Chemo.

“Knowledge Is Power”, the excellent first single of the EP was featured on the original soundtrack of Sebastian Theil’s 2012 short film Illegal Activity while the EP’s second single “S.O.L.D (Signs of the Last Days)” will be released on August 27.

I have been surfing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all web owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the internet will be much more useful than ever before.
